3 underrated Netflix shows you should watch this weekend (June 20-22)
Watching shows on Netflix has become the way that many people wind down after long and stressful days. The trouble is that Netflix offers so many options that you might unwind by scrolling through the pages instead of actually picking something. If you'd like to avoid that problem, we're here to help. We've compiled a list of three underrated shows you can check out on the streaming service, with each offering something totally different. Recommended Videos Need more recommendations? Then check out the best new shows to stream this week, as well as the best shows on Netflix, the best shows on Hulu, the best shows on Amazon Prime Video, the best shows on Max, and the best shows on Disney+. BoJack Horseman (2014-2020) An animated horse cartoon doesn't necessarily scream excellence, but BoJack Horseman was one of the most acclaimed shows on Netflix. The series tells the story of a former sitcom actor who, while still wealthy, is now a narcissistic alcoholic who alienates everyone who tries to get close to him. The show explores BoJack's bad behavior and his attempts to improve over the course of six seasons, and it's one of the more inventive, fascinating shows they've ever produced. It's been over for five years, but now is the perfect time to check it out if you missed it back in the day. You can watch Bojack Horseman on Netflix. Good Girls (2018-2021) A brilliant show about three women who take control of their own lives, Good Girls follows two sisters and their best friend as they decide to hold up a grocery store to get each of them out of some financial difficulty. Because they're new to this whole 'doing crimes' thing, the holdup doesn't go perfectly. The trio realizes that the only way they can escape is by working together. Good Girls is hilarious, occasionally thought-provoking, and a wonderful showcase for its three central performers. You can watch Good Girls on Netflix. Narcos (2015-2017) Narcos was a phenomenon when it first aired, but that was almost a decade ago now. The series, which lasted just three seasons, tells the story of the rise of the cocaine trade in Colombia in the late 1980s and follows real-life drug kingpins, including Pablo Escobar. The show, which also followed law enforcement efforts to combat the drug trade, was often riveting drama and anchored by a slew of great actors. Narcos was the type of cop show that we rarely see, and its focus on a particular time period in history gave it the kind of heft few shows can fake. You can watch Narcos on Netflix.

These 6 rocket explosions show how SpaceX likes to roll
The upper-stage of SpaceX's next-generation Starship rocket exploded in a massive fireball at its Starbase facility near Boca Chica, Texas, on Wednesday night. No one was hurt in the incident. The vehicle was being prepared for the 10th flight test of the most powerful rocket in the world, which also includes the first-stage Super Heavy booster. Recommended Videos The dramatic explosion highlights SpaceX's bold, iterative approach to rocket testing that views anomalies as a learning opportunity rather than an outright failure. Instead of relying solely on simulations or lengthy design reviews, the spaceflight company — founded by Elon Musk in 2002 — prefers to rapidly build and test rocket parts, using gathered data to refine future designs. The approach means that spectacular events like the one involving the Starship on Wednesday are to be expected. SpaceX's controversial approach is designed to accelerate development by uncovering complex issues early on. It's important to note that almost all of the tests are uncrewed and designed to minimize risk while maximizing insight to push a project forward. In stark contrast, NASA prioritizes safety and reliability, while also considering potential political challenges, especially after past disasters like those involving the Space Shuttle Challenger and Columbia. The different approach means that NASA's development cycles are slower and more cautious, with strict oversight and procurement rules that make rapid iteration difficult. Unlike SpaceX, the U.S. space agency doesn't aim to move fast or mass-produce rockets, instead focusing on things like long-term research and human safety. Critics have argued that SpaceX's so-called 'fail fast, learn faster' approach poses risks to both safety and the environment, especially when testing near populated areas or delicate ecosystems. Some worry that moving so fast could also put workers at risk and make it harder for regulators to ensure safety. Whether you like its approach or not, SpaceX seems intent on continuing as usual, learning what it can when it all goes wrong. Below are six videos demonstrating just how SpaceX likes to roll … Starship, 2025 First up, the spectacular explosion that destroyed a Starship rocket on June 18, 2025. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk described the incident as 'just a scratch.' Falcon 9, 2016 The Falcon 9 rocket is now SpaceX's workhorse vehicle, carrying out almost all of its missions to orbit, including crewed flights to and from the International Space Station. But it wasn't always so reliable. This incident happened during a routine static-fire test of the Falcon 9 rocket, which was preparing to launch a communications satellite. Starship, 2021 In high-altitude testing of the upper-stage Starship spacecraft, the vehicle reached an altitude of about 6.2 miles (10 km). But after successfully performing several planned maneuvers during its six-minute entirely solo flight, the vehicle didn't slow down enough and failed to achieve the correct orientation for landing. Falcon 9, 2015 This Falcon 9 rocket exploded about two minutes after liftoff from Cape Canaveral, Florida, destroying a Dragon cargo ship bound for the space station. The failure was put down to a faulty steel strut in the liquid oxygen tank that broke under stress, causing a helium vessel to break free and rupture the tank. Starship, 2023 During the Starship's first-ever integrated flight test in April 2023, the rocket experienced multiple engine failures and ultimately lost control, leading to its intentional destruction before reaching orbit. Prior to launch, Musk had tempered expectations by saying the 120-meter-tall rocket only had a 50% chance of reaching orbit. Falcon 9, 2015 A key part of SpaceX's spaceflight system is the ability to reuse rockets, which means landing them back on Earth after carrying a crew or payload to orbit. While it's now perfected the maneuver with the Falcon 9's first-stage booster, there were a lot of failures in the early days. Here's one of them. A compilation of SpaceX rocket disasters In 2017, Elon Musk posted a compilation video showing numerous SpaceX rocket disasters as its engineers continued to develop the technology.

3 underrated Netflix movies you should watch this weekend (June 20-22)
Netflix is one of the biggest streaming services in the world, and having a subscription has become crucial to many people's existence. Even if you have a subscription, that doesn't necessarily mean you know what to check out first. If you're new to Netflix or are simply struggling with how to pick a movie to watch, we've got you covered. We've pulled together three underrated titles available on the streaming service that are well worth your time. Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+. Us (2019) Jordan Peele's follow-up to Get Out understandably had significant hype, and Us turned out to be just as impressive an achievement. The film, which follows a Black family on vacation who find themselves battling for their lives against their duplicate versions, is in many ways even more unsettling than its predecessor. Just as crucially, Us is more ambitious and messier in interesting ways. Anchored by an incredible central performance from Lupita Nyong'o in dual roles, Us is about how much of the world it's necessary to ignore if you're going to survive in it. You can watch Us on Netflix. The Half of It (2020) Released in the midst of the pandemic, The Half of It didn't get the love that it probably should have. The film tells the story of a bright, introverted high school girl hired by a boy to write love letters on his behalf. After she finds herself falling in love with the same woman she's been hired to write letters to, she finds herself conflicted about what to do. The Half of It has some of the superficial trappings of your typical teen dramedy, but it's quieter and more thoughtful than most films of its ilk. And, thanks to three winning performances, it will leave you charmed and, perhaps, just a little wistful. You can watch The Half of It on Netflix. The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (2023) Director Wes Anderson is a bit divisive, but The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar is one of his more accessible films. The 45-minute film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular Sugar, an extraordinarily wealthy man who essentially learns how to practice magic so he can cheat at card games. Anderson's direction here is superb, and the movie itself feels a bit like a pop-up picture book filled with exciting images. Cumberbatch turns out to be a perfect fit for Anderson's approach to actors, and Henry Sugar feels like a full meal, even though it's a short film. You can watch The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar on Netflix.

3 great free movies to stream this weekend (June 20-22)
The summer movie season is heating up. Last week, How to Train Your Dragon broke out at the box office on its way to a domestic debut of $83.7 million. This week, two new additions, 28 Years Later and Elio, are expected to score openings of over $20 million. More is on the way, with F1 coming in hot next week. When you're not at the theater, save some money at home by downloading a FAST service. With a FAST service like Tubi or Pluto TV, consumers can stream thousands of movies for free. Speaking of 28 Years Later, one of our picks this weekend comes from the same franchise. Find out which one below. Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+. 28 Days Later (2002) The Rage Virus returns to the big screen in 28 Years Later, the long-awaited follow-up in the 28 Days Later franchise. Revisit how the world went to hell in 28 Days Later, the sci-fi horror directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland. Animal rights activists mistakenly free an infected chimpanzee, who spreads the virus to the humans. The virus then spreads across England, leading to the collapse of civilization. 28 days later, Jim (Cillian Murphy) wakes up in an abandoned hospital, unaware of what happened. After escaping from several infected, Jim links up with Selena (Naomie Harris) and Frank (Brendan Gleeson), and together, the group embarks on a journey to find a safe haven. There are so many positives about 28 Days Later, but choosing to make the zombies fast-moving might be the film's crowning achievement. Stream 28 Days Later on Pluto TV. Get Out (2017) Jordan Peele is currently one of the most influential voices in the horror genre. In 2017, Peele was still considered a comedian and one-half of Key & Peele. Peele completely shifted the comedic narrative with Get Out, his feature film directorial debut. Chris Washington (Daniel Kaluuya) is a young Black photographer who has been dating the white Rose Armitage (Allison Williams) for five months. Chris reluctantly agrees to accompany Rose to meet her family in upstate New York. Chris has his reservations at first, being one of the only African Americans in a white community. Once Chris notices the other African Americans acting unnaturally, he senses something isn't right and wants to get out. Seeing Get Out in the theaters is one of the most memorable theatrical experiences of the last decade. While you can't play off the emotion of an audience at home, Get Out's twists and tension will still make you squeamish in this groundbreaking psychological thriller. Stream Get Out on Tubi. No Strings Attached (2011) No Strings Attached recycles the popular rom-com trope of two friends contemplating if they have feelings for each other. Not to be confused with Friends with Benefits, No Strings Attached stars Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher as Emma and Adam, friends who agree to have a sexual relationship without emotion. The arrangement gets off to a hot start as Emma and Adam enjoy hooking up with one another. The more time they spend together, the more feelings start to develop, even though they promised never to fall in love. Again, it's a recycled premise. However, Portman and Kutcher are so delightful that it doesn't matter. Their chemistry is so palpable that predictability takes a backseat to enjoyability. Stream No Strings Attached on Pluto TV.

3 underrated Amazon Prime Video movies you should watch this weekend (June 20-22)
In addition to being a central hub for many people's shopping, Amazon also has a pretty impressive library of streaming titles. If you're looking for something to watch, you might be overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices available. If you're looking for a way to hone in on what you'd actually like to watch, we've got you covered. We've pulled together three great, underrated movies that are all available on Prime Video and are all well worth your time: Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+. I Like Movies (2022) If you think you're the cinephile in your friend group, then I Like Movies was made for you. The film tells the story of a socially awkward teenager who takes a job at a video store in the mid-2000s and develops a complicated relationship with his older female supervisor. Funny and heartfelt in a way that only indies can seem to get away with, I Like Movies is both an earnest ode to loving movies and a reminder of how intense our feelings can be when we're 17. I Like Movies is shaggy, funny, and features a cast of actors you probably won't recognize. You can watch I Like Movies on Amazon Prime Video. Midnight Cowboy (1969) More than 50 years later, Midnight Cowboy still feels as transgressive as it did when it was first released in 1969. The movie follows a young man from a small town who moves to New York City, convinced that he'll attach himself to a wealthy woman who can keep him in comfort. Instead, he finds himself in poverty and lives in a rundown, abandoned apartment with hustler Enrico 'Ratso' Rizzo. As the two begin working together to earn cash, they form a friendship that becomes their only lifeline as they struggle to make ends meet in a city less hospitable than either of them anticipated. You can watch Midnight Cowboy on Amazon Prime Video. Ford v Ferrari (2019) There aren't a ton of great racing movies, but Ford v Ferrari is one of the very best. The film tells the true story of the men that Ford brought in in an attempt to compete with Ferrari at the 24-hour race at Le Mans. In chronicling the many challenges that come with trying to build something in collaboration with corporate overlords, the film also has interesting resonances with what it's like to work in Hollywood. Anchored by great movie star work from Christian Bale and Matt Damon, Ford v. Ferrari is sturdy and functional in ways that few modern movies of any size manage to be. You can watch Ford v. Ferrari on Amazon Prime Video.
